When taking your new rabbits home please take into consideration that your rabbit needs at least two weeks to acclimate into its new environment. After a couple of weeks, you can slowly start handling your rabbit a couple times a day. Please always monitor young children when handling.

For small breeds I recommend a medium- sized dog crate for properly housing your rabbit. Bigger breeds need a larger size dog crate. Please keep in mind that these cage recommendations are considered for indoor/free roam rabbits.

FEEDING:
Rabbits need lots of fresh water and and hay. Some like bowls for water and some like the small animal water bottles to drink from so offer both. You can add a tiny amount of apple cider vinegar to each refill of their water bottle to help with urinary health, other health benefits along with keeping the water bottles fresher.
Rabiits also need a lot of good quality hay-Timothy, Timothy

For Litter Box:
Pelletized bedding is what we use here at our bunny barn and recommend for our customers to use. These pellets absorb very well and keep the smell down more than anything we’ve used in the past. This bag and brand can normally be found at your local tractor supply.

Additional Optional Food:
We also feed a very small amount of Calf Manna Supplement with every feeding of Blue pellets. This is also found at local tractor supply. It gives added protein, along with healthy coats, and other health benefits.
